Qualifications
Over a decade of experience working freelance within the film industry as a technician and creator on virtually every type of project. Experience running crew from almost every principal position while also having served as a valued team member. A deep level of knowledge with most major camera systems and work flows, lighting and grip gear, editing software and color correction tools. Worked as a camera assistant for union DP’s as well as acted as gaffer, grip, and DIT on feature films, agency commercials, documentaries, and record label music videos. Commissioned as cinematographer on commercial, narrative, and documentary projects while having directed music videos, commercials, documentary and narrative shorts. Spent a year administrating a production start up as Operations Manager responsible for purchasing camera bodies, 4K capable computers, and piecing together a one ton grip and electric package. Previous experience includes having managed in retail and worked in warehouse environments.
Technical Proficiencies
Knowledge of both Microsoft and Apple operating systems. Hundreds of hours with RAW workflows on multiple camera systems; RED, Sony, Black Magic, ARRI, including many different external recorders. Color correction knowledge with Davinci Resolve 11/12, After Effects, and Premiere. Total knowledge of DJI Ronin gimbal system. Experience with multiple FIZ control systems and wireless video transmitters.
Additional Strengths
An affable communicator, I can lead as well as follow while maintaining a positive attitude no matter the situation, an even keeled example for those around me. Having filled many production of roles, I am aware of the limitations of budget, time, and personnel while also leveraging those limitations to fuel creative problem solving. Able to work quickly while remaining organized and detail oriented.
